Orca I & Orca II: Custom-Built Passenger Excursion Catamarans for Puget Sound
All American Marine (AAM) proudly delivers Orca I & Orca II, two 80-foot aluminum catamarans built for Great Western Attractions (GWA). Designed for passenger excursions in Puget Sound, these state-of-the-art vessels enhance Seattle’s waterfront tourism experience, offering fuel efficiency, comfort, and a unique cultural design.
Innovative Teknicraft Catamaran Design
Designed by Teknicraft Design in Auckland, New Zealand, the 80’ x 27’ aluminum catamarans integrate advanced hydrodynamics for smooth, fuel-efficient operation. A custom bow and stern hull extension creates a canoelike aesthetic, celebrating the Pacific Northwest’s Indigenous heritage. Built to USCG Subchapter T standards, these 149-passenger vessels provide safe, stable, and eco-friendly excursions on Puget Sound’s lakes, bays, and waterways.
Powered by twin Caterpillar C18 engines (803 bhp @ 2100 RPM) and Veem NiBrAL propellers, Orca I & Orca II offer reliable performance, reduced emissions, and enhanced maneuverability, ensuring a premium passenger experience.
Elevating Seattle’s Waterfront Tourism
As part of GWA’s expanding tourism portfolio, these vessels complement iconic Seattle attractions such as the Seattle Great Wheel and Wings Over Washington. Designed for scenic tours, wildlife excursions, and private events, Orca I & Orca II provide unparalleled sightseeing opportunities along the Puget Sound coastline.
“We are proud to build such unique vessels for an iconic Seattle company,” said Ron Wille, President & COO of AAM. “Our goal is to provide the best custom vessels for our operators, and we are thrilled to support GWA’s marine expansion.”

Built for a world-class tourism experience, these vessels feature:
- Spacious indoor and outdoor seating with panoramic views

Expanding Seattle’s Marine Tourism Industry
“We always provide the best experience for our customers,” said Kyle Griffith, Vice President of GWA. “When we saw the craftsmanship at AAM’s shipyard, we knew we had to build two vessels instead of one.”
Built at AAM’s Bellingham, WA facility, Orca I & Orca II represent the next evolution in Seattle’s tourism industry, offering an unforgettable experience for visitors exploring the beauty of Puget Sound.
